Multi-Port Drops (A/B/C faceplates)
When one faceplate feeds more than one network port, give the device multiple drops. Each drop is labeled A, B, C and counts as its own line in your schedules and exports.
Overview
A single device on the plan, say a 2-gang or 4-gang data jack, often terminates on more than one switch port. FieldMarkup handles this with drops: one drop per port the device uses. Each drop is labeled A, B, C, and so on.
Why it matters
The faceplate is one device, but the cabling is several ports. Drops keep those in agreement, so your connection schedule, device tree, Bill of Materials, and exports all show the right number of ports and cable runs, not just one line per faceplate.
Adding drops
Open the device and set how many ports (drops) it uses. The device matrix shows a small x2 ports (or x4) marker, and the connection schedule lists each drop on its own row with its A/B/C label, so you can assign each one to a switch and port.
On exports
Each drop appears as its own line in the device schedule and the BOM, so the cabling count is right when you order and when you install.
